I managed to get a registration for Rock & Roll Marathon , Seattle due for coming Saturday thats 06/25 thats not even 48 Hours from now. I have registered for a half marathon.30,000 participants are expected to take part . Course will begin at the Foster Golf Links in the nearby Tukwila community and end at Qwest Field, the home of the NFL's Seattle Seahawks. The route features along the Puget Sound waterfront as well as downtown Seattle, and includes scenic views of the city's landmark Space Needle as well as many of the city parks in between the start and finish lines. In 2010, about 21,000 people took part and 17,000 finished the half marathon.Number says sufficiently how encouraging and lively the situation going to be .
I am pretty much excited about my debut marathon venture , little nervous at the same time. I have not gone for jog for 6 days .Having only 1 day in between ,I want to save my energy for the D- day. Will do bit a stretch exercise tomorrow .
:) . I have not updated you guys about my shopping for D-day.Ordered a Hydration waist pack with cargo packet from Amazon.Amazon is Savior, having only a day to marathon , i opted for one day shipping with little extra charges.Got Nice Track suite (Navy Blue) for my marathon run . Need to charge my camera . I know with such a big crowd around ,I expect a lots of colorful pictures. Waiting to Rock and Roll.

Stretches Before Running
You are already in your track suit, your shoes are tied and you are bubbling with enthusiasm to cross your own personal goals . Hang on!! Have you informed your running buddies , who are going to be with you in each step you put. They are none other than your muscles . They are the guys who help to achieve physical fitness targets.Inform them and Pamper them. Do some Stretches to prepare them before jog.
Stretches should be integral part of the Running schedule.
Came across this video , which nicely discusses engaging your whole body stretches needed before a jog.
Hope you will find it informational and adopt it before every jog you go whether short or a long one .

She is because She dares
Was mindless surfing for some running video and got this . Liked this video very much. She is great example of never say die. As the video says , its not about a fall, its about a rise, which dares to dream beyond the obvious and reaches there.Hope you too find it inspirational.
Early Days of Learning
Hi ! Back after a while . Let me update highlights of last few days .
1 : I jogged with a Boston Marathoner last Saturday ,.Lets call him Mr D. It was fun jogging with him . I touched my all time high 14 miles that day . Nice guy , he gave me some good tips on how to maintain tempo during a long run . And also taught me essential stress exercisers needed after a long jog.
2: Logged my first 50 miles of jogging in the trail
3: Two unofficial half marathons on consecutive days over the last weekend .
4.A: Jogged 11 miles in the drizzling rain of Seattle . Believe me !! its refreshing experience. I was semi-properly dressed for the rain . Water was dripping out of my hair to face to mouth. A green world around is real bliss. All of sudden you feel being thrown out of the e- world to the midst of the nature.
4.B: I secretly wished I should have a wiper on my spectacles.
5: Gradually learning my weakness in jogging . Of course, Gizmo is all loud with tons of statistics : Number of miles covered , speed , time taken to cover each miles . calories burn .I am have data from my last 5 / 6 runs .
